I have a special cabinet for howlers. It's been continuously exploding for the past few days. I'm close to blowing the lock on it, I believe. This is absolutely ridiculous. I knew that party was a horrible idea, but of course no one ever listens to me. And now we have a pack of vultures breathing down our necks, never-ending faculty meetings ( Read more... )

You have a cabinet for your howlers? And you haven't told me about it?

The faculty meetings aren't that terrible, Severus. But you already know my feelings on The Prophet. It's not as if they didn't have enough to report on in the first place. And the fact that it's only going to get worse makes it all the harder to deal with.

I get at least one a week. You get tired of listening to them after a while. Feel free to borrow it. Just make sure to knock on it before opening; occasionally you get a stubborn one that's waiting for someone to open the door before exploding. Knocking usually disarms them if they've been waiting a while.

They cover the same nonsense over and over again. If someone had any new ideas, it might be tolerable.

Believe me, I know quite well how tiring they get to listen to. I've had my fair share of them over the years, and they don't get any less annoying. Anyways, thank you. I don't doubt i'll end up borrowing up.

They can be a tad monotonous, but it's not as if it's all for naught. We have to at least try, and they'll stop after awhile. That is, unless something else happens.

Do you believe it would be completely unreasonable if Professor Dumbledore just answered a few of the arising questions these days? I feel it would at least lower the amount of howlers the professors have been receiving.
