House Divided
Well, it's been 26 days now that Jason's been in Nashville. He's teaching chemistry at Belmont University. We're so proud, but we miss him terribly. Dylan starts kindergarten next Thursday, Sept 7th here in Sierra Madre. I have my second conference in a month starting September 10th. Anybody going to the ACS in San Fran? Wow, the third episode of Season Two of Doctor Who just blew me away (School Reunion). The main plot was a little sidelined, but oh Sarah Jane! Twitchy Eyes
So it's been a great few weeks in lab, but I've been working pretty long hours. I suppose I've felt stressed, but in a good way. However, I've been having a problem with twitchy eyes. Beautiful music, cheap books
The Friends of the Sierra Madre Library Book Sale is this weekend - Friday from 5-7 and Saturday from 10-2. I had to go, because I went to one last December and got 6 great books for very little money, about $2 each, some in hard cover. I spent more money this time, but got more books. Here's my list, because I am so excited about them!

Slow Sunday
Jason's in Vegas for a bachelor party with the pipe band folks this weekend. So Dylan and I have been hanging out. We had dinner with coffeebeast and dlatimer in Monterey Park. That was yummy, but I was very disappointed that my favorite boba store had run out of their delicious green tea pearls. Maybe next time, anyways. Civil Rights
Dylan and I celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by having french toast for breakfast and then hiking in Eaton Canyon. Happy New Year!
Wow, December was a crazy month. To briefly recap, I went to Ithaca to see my mom, my grandpa and my aunt at the very beginning of the month. That was great, I saw snow, we cleaned, we stacked wood, we visited. Then I came home, and Jason went on a job interview to a small school in western PA. That day, Dylan came down with the flu.
