48 hours cold turkey

So far I've been through the shivers and sweats, the screaming cravings and the foul tempers.

The NHS quit pack is a fucking joke (contains a couple of leaflets, a sheet of kiddy-style stickers and a toothbrush)

I have been a smoker for the best part of 45 years so going cold turkey after all these years is damned hard to do.

You are brave and strong and I'm saying that from behind a thick plexiglass shield as it might sound patronising if you're going through it at the moment!
The quit kit does indeed sound pathetic, do they at least provide a phone number so you can take your temper out on someone who's signed up to be paid for it? :)

The kit consists of :

A sheet of *well done* stickers
A couple of pseudo-motivational postcards
A sheet of paper with a *snakes and ladders* type game
A small toothbrush
A length of twisted plastic
