I'm all excited about my first wedding-related DIY project, so I'm finally motivated to clear out my craft nook.

We did a pretty good job of purging that huge pile of boxes and junk. There is still a small pile, relocated to an uglier location, but the nook is totally usable now

congrats on the organization! I went through a major organization spree when I moved, and bought upwards of $700 worth of plastic storage boxes... It started out as $100, and then just kept creeping up as I thought "oh, I need to get these things into boxes too!" It's crazy when I look at the lump total, but there's some major satisfaction in knowing I have a good amount of stuff actually organized. And it's good for home transitioning, esp. in this in-between period when I need to "live out of boxes". :)

Wow! I had the same idea as you completely independently, like one day later. Since I don't have a closet or dresser in my new room I bought a few large food containers to hold my clothes. They were still kinda expensive though compared to the ziploc boxes and rubbermaid you found. They don't have either of those here!
