*wistful sigh*...I wish we were having as much plant and animal activity as you are. Right now...it's snowing. :( Another month or so should do it for us. Lovely pictures.

Well, we're getting there, but winter isn't going without a fight :) I'm really hoping we've got rid of the snow and cold.

I hope so too, it would be a rather rude blow to the frogs and other critters (drive them right back into hibernation I would guess). Might be a bit tough on the frog eggs too. I'm looking forward to the spring peepers (very tiny frogs with incredibly loud voices) starting their singing. That is always a strong sign that spring has sprung, so to speak, lol. Of course, after a few days of peeper serenading...I'll be cussing them out. ;)

Yes, I always worry about that sort of thing too. One year the ice on our pond got so deep that we could see all the frogs trying to find an air pocket. We had to go out for days with pans of luke warm water to keep an area ice-free for them.

I love when our frogs 'sing' too - they've been quiet so far. Last time I looked out, just before dark, my black cat Manic was watching all the activity. Luckily, he's not interested in them as a food or entertainment source :)

Hey there! I just now remembered to put your new journal on my friends list. :) I sorely missed all your pictures, I realize! :)

I think I may have to make that pudding you were talking about... sounds lovely!

Thanks, glad you added me :)

The pudding is just stodge really, lol - but we enjoyed it so much last time that we had half each in one sitting. Must remember how ill I felt before I make the same mistake again this time!

Thanks Ilene :)
I just wish I could send you a picture of some sun, but sadly we don't have any here either! Good weather for frogs though ;)

Sue, I was wondering if I might use some of your photographs for some drawing inspiration? Asking for permission from you.

Based on today's temperatures, I'd like to say yes :) But it keeps slipping back to cold all the time. It certainly seems to have fooled the plants anyway.
