My dad might be coming home soon! It's exciting news! He's walking a little better now, twice a day maybe.
Although mom says he'll have chemo for the rest of his life, I don't want to think like that. I want to think he'll live past chemotherapy-- and so I will, because if I don't then I'll go crazy like her. -

My dad has been in the hospital for 2 weeks now. And he is improving mood-wise and mentally, though he hasn't technically been on his feet in three. My family has tried very hard to be in there every day for him. His brothers visited him yesterday and the day before. This is pretty much my parents' worst anniversary. My dad was taken to the hospital yesterday by ambulance where they proceeded to hunt down the last doctor he saw there to give him some sort of stern chat or something-- I hope they beat him with a stick for letting my dad go home in his condition-- to tell us he has kidney failure-- so treatment ( Read more... )
