So please, help me out - if *you* were that LJFriend, please let me ( Read more... )

Oh good, I thought it was you but wasn't sure :)

So, did you check out The Healthy Kitchen (linked above)? If so, what do you think?

For some reason the link isn't working for me. Can I get it again?

So is the idea that you drop the dehydrated into water to re-hydrate it before serving?

That might have been me, talking about Meat For Cats And Dogs, just up the street, and more specifically the Rad-Cat raw food diet for cats. Our cats love it, and Ebenezer (the nekkid one with an extremely sensitive stomach) can eat it without producing foul things and smells in the litter box.

Oh wow, the Rad Cat food sounds *awesome*... just like what the link michelf gave me earlier was specifying, without the need for *me* to have to grind and add the nutrients, etc.

Their site doesn't say how much their food is (and of course, there are no distributors in San Diego) - can you give me some ballpark prices?

At the Meat For Cats & Dogs store, the larger tubs are between $9 and $11--depending on what meat it is (chicken, turkey, or lamb.) In our household of three cats, one of those tubs lasts about 5 days (although we augment that with a little bit of "Sensitive Stomach" variety of Science Diet dry food on the side.)

I do have to say that not having to mix is totally worth it. Kim has a hard enough time dealing with the prepared raw food.
