Oh, that first one . . . words cannot express the depth of my love for Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

I've read everything that man's ever published, and he rarely puts a foot wrong, but that series is just . . . like I said, I got no words.

Amen to that. It took me a couple of years to get through the whole series, and when I finally got to the last book, I frequently had to take breaks because I was crying too hard to be able to see the words. It was wonderful.

I stalked your page a little bit, since you commented on mine (by which I mean I clicked over here and scrolled down a few posts. Don't be freaked, lol) and I just had to pop in and say two things: I love that the man in black quote was your first one (it's always one of the first two that come to mind for me) and I'm thrilled that you put the opening lines to Perks of Being a Wallflower on here. I love that book so damn much.

Haha, no problem at all! I think probably The Perks of Being a Wallflower is the book I most often recommend to other people. It's definitely in my list of top 5 favorites.

What is the other line that pops up most in your mind, other than the opening from the Gunslinger?

It's one I would never expect anyone to know. "The first thing the boy Garion remembered was the kitchen at Faldor's farm."

You get a gold star if you know what it's from, but if you don't I'll tell you :)

I didn't recognize it, so I cheated and used Google. Hehe. Can't say I've ever heard of the book.

Have you heard about the new Dark Tower book coming out in March? I'm going to start re-reading the series now so that I'll be refreshed on everything by the time the new one comes out... as if I need an excuse to re-read it. But, I'm awaiting the next one with equal parts trepidation and excitement... I can't imagine King being able to do anything else to make it better, since it's pretty close to perfect as is.
