I wish I could do some interesting, challenging, relevant work at school. I wish schools wouldn't emphasize grades as much as learning how to think critically and creatively. If we learned for the sake of learning, rather than for achieving a satisfactory numerical quantification of our success, kids would learn more subject material and they'd ( Read more... )

I've had the same internal argument for years.
Throughout HS, midde school, whatever, I've always done terrible. The way things are presented and thrown upon us are incapable of catching my attention.
I assumed college would be about as bad, but strangly enough, I have learned more in three months than I have in four years of HS.

In places like Mexico, they have school systems where its actualy based around what you learn. There are still grades, but its done differently. More like college i think. American schools are just ass backwards thats all.
