I'm no medievalist, and I don't know much in the way of Old English, except to say I do have an Anglo-Saxon primer in which I occasionally like to look up words. I also know that Tolkien got "orcs" from an Anglo-Saxon word, which I can't reproduce here because I don't know how to make the odd characters.
