I would like to truly thank everyone who commented kindly, or commented in any way, on my past few posts.  I swear to God that when I pump out all the whoah-is-me negativity that I am not pandering for niceties, but they are warmly welcomed regardless, as are advice and reality checks.  And in all actuality I am not the doom-clouded self-loather ( Read more... )

what does everybody do for work, exactly?

My job title is "data warehouse admnistrator." What I actually do i make sure everything runs, make sure everything is accurate, fire off a report or go to a meeting now and then, and spend the other seven hours and fifty-nine minutes of my day reading, smoking, writing reviews, playing Neopets/Kingdom of Loathing/Urban Dead/Render Ranch, etc.

And while we're on the subject, does anyone actually like their job?

If you had my job, wouldn't you?

I like my job.

I'm a part qualified management accountant. Basically I write reports that allows us to see how the company is doing. Mainly for internal purposes, I'm the fucker who goes along and tells your boss that they have no money left in their budget/that they're under performing/they're inefficient/they should do better etc etc...

I like my job so much I'll be here for round five or six years (Plus they'll pay for a masters so I can't miss an opportunity like that), my colleagues are fab too.

:o)
