Processor questions
Okay, I've pretty much decided on my computer, and there's a $1 difference between the two machines. One has an Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core, and the other has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400. The Intel runs at about 2.13 GHz, but I don't know what speed the 3800+ runs at ( Read more... ) -
okay, I lied
I want a new computer. I want something with a RAID controller that can handle SATA drives (whatever version is most recent) in a RAID 5. Also, I want a sweet monitor. Anyone have any suggestions for starting points? I'd rather not build it myself, since that's a hassle. -

I think I've given up on The Plot Against America. I've read Roth's Portnoy's Complaint, and while juvenile, it had no illusions about being anything else, and moved as a delightful narrative ( Read more... ) -

I was on the baseball team in high school and I wanted to quit, so the team was trying to break my legs so I wouldn't. Phil Villapiano was in it, as team captain. So, for some reason I was looking through my old myspace messages (such sweet torture as that site is), and I noticed a trend more alarming than I thought. Today I got my bag searched by the PAPD. I was actually happy it was me and not the Indian guy next to me, because I've only ever witnessed the NYPD telling Middle Eastern guys to open their bags.
Later, on the train, I took out my book: The Plot Against America. good think I put it away spine down yesterday! -
The new system is a problem.
I was trying to tell someone why I wouldn't be able to hang out in the city Weds. night, and my excuse almost came out "my brother wants to play with my Wii."

Maybe it's just the fact that 3 AM is known for bringing me terrible ideas, but I think the greatest decoration we can hang in our downstairs bathroom would be a portrait of a toilet. perhaps our upstairs one.
