I have found the teeter to be a very individual obstacle for each dog. Meaning, some dogs are ALL about it!! and some worry, and others don't worry, but don't seem to get the gist of it (like razor...geez dude)

When Rumble was doing it, Anne stuck her table under it for us, so it didn't drop as far, and Rumble was all about that. I liked the less banging, and he liked not having to ride it as far down. I've also had people train it while they're holding the end and then let it drop and that seem good too (we did some of that w/ Rums, but not a lot). He's not got a ton of drive over ANY of the obstacles, but I hope it increases as he figures out what's going on.

Her teeters have always been at or below 12" .. both my teeters adjust.

I totally agree about the individualistic part of it!!!!

I prefer to to full height teeters and hold the board and let it drop or slow it down. I think if a dog questions the teeter and by raising it slowly, then don't know what to trust/expect. It can be like starting from the beginning every time you raise it. So, save them the stress and teach them what the big one is about right off the bat. But like Rosie said... every dog is different.

Woo hoo to weaves is 20 days! I usually set aside 30 days and make the commitment to work them every day for short sessions. I've been able to do it four times. I'm excited to watch Peach progress. Are you doing 2x2's for all 12?

Since you're already doing the low height, maybe you should generalize that to other locations and then go back and raise it. With Bea I started with getting the low height but pretty quickly went to the table option and then removed the table and slowed down the drop a couple times by holding it. That worked great for Bea. I also agree, it needs to be individualistic. BTW, I have an adjustable teeter so if you want to drop over for a generalization session in my yard, just let me know.
