So as the summer burns on, the life I had been carefully sculpting for 22 years is slowly melting away into a liquidy goo. It's taken me a few months (and will take me a few months still) to fully realize that this isn't necessarily a bad thing

Most of your friends either went through some similar stage as what you're going through now, or they still are.

We spend so much time pondering on the meaning of our lives, that we don't realize that the only meaning is what we choose to build and perceive. Living under the convenient burden of our parents' expectations all throughout childhood... when the realization of what really makes us US hits, we really have no clue where to begin, yet where we're going.

There is no answer to life, I have found, other than enjoy yourself, be good to people and do you what you need to in order to get by. And frankly, that's more than enough to worry about for most of us.

As for you, it's a damn shame you don't write more, because you've certainly got a gift.

I can't think of anything to reply with that wouldn't look trite by comparison (...) But it looks like you've reached that point in your life things just fall into place. Some of them, anyway. I wasn't at all aware of your ability to write like this. It's some inspiring shit, let me tell you :)
