AMP 2011: Day 27
Chuck Versus the Mutant Army, written by eleveninches, is a crossover podficlet of adorability. I've never actually recorded a podfic for Chuck before (though I have watched several episodes of it with my Dad), and I didn't actually watch Heroes while it was on the air (though I've caught myself up to canon via the DVDs) - so, it was an interesting experience, for me, to try and capture the 'voice' of these characters accurately. But, once again, eleveninches has written a very silly, very funny story, that will make you smile the whole way through - so hopefully, anyplace in the podfic where I've fallen down on the job, characterization-wise, her storytelling will be able to save the day.
Six Degrees of Separation (or something): On Chuck, John Casey was played by Alec Baldwin, who also played Col. Dave Dixon on Stargate: SG1. There's a really funny series of fics called SG-15, where Dixon gets his own team, which includes John and Rodney from Stargate: Atlantis. On one episode of SGA, there is a character called Tyre (a Satedan refugee). He is played by Mark Dacascos, who also plays The Chairman on Iron Chef America. I'm watching Iron Chef America RIGHT NOW. Therefore, you should download the mp3, and enjoy this podficlet.
