Thank you for sharing your lovely creations. I have a thing for bags and buttons, too. Your mom must be so pleased to have at least one daughter who's caught the sewing bug. She was very disappointed when her trip got postponed this weekend. Her extra work at KC [while someone is out on maternity leave] is wearing her out and she's hanging on by a thread [do you like the sewing reference?]
did you notice that it was ENGLISH roses that were used to create the image of the SCOTtie dog?!?! I LOVE that! I think anything that juxtaposes different cultures esp. those with some historical tension is good!!
I'm DEFinitely making a tote for a friend who's from Birmingham (has lived in Glasgow for 8 or so years now). She'll really appreciate the symbolism (she gets some seriously questionable treatment thanks to her accent once in a while, sadly). I just wonder if CLARKE & CLARKE were mindful/clever when they created the pattern!?
