[He laughs, though it's absent of his usual humor. In it, you'll find a slice of respect, since Youko did as she threatened; a sliver of irritation that most of the brothels he went to won't take him or demand a round of tests he sure as hell doesn't know the name of plus a sum greater than he can currently afford for more than a night; and a dash of amusement.]

[He sighs.] There's nothing wrong, either way. You just have to separate logic and emotion from one another, weigh the options, and hope you do the right thing - and take the other individual into consideration.

I've kind of been wondering about that myself. About whether or not people age here, I mean. We're outside of time, right?
But it's not like there's no time passing. It's not like time compression. There's still days and nights and seasons in the right order, aside from weird curse days now and again. And that damn ticking. So...
I really haven't been here long enough to tell. I guess if we still age like normal here then technically I turned eighteen a month or so ago. It's weird to think about it.

...I don't really have an answer for your other question. I feel like I should say that it'd be wrong... that even if you could, you'd regret it in the end. That it'd turn out wrong.
You can't hold onto things forever. It just... doesn't work.
But if it were me, and I had the choice... I'd probably try to hold on as long as I could. Even if it'd be the wrong thing to do.
Guess you're right, time exists here, so time compression makes a lot more sense. Days and nights, the season of the year (wacky stuff like summer blizzards aside) too.
It's weird to think about it because the oldest I've heard a person stayed is three years, but each passing year is a little more of grain in the hourglass of many people. Not me. I'll never age.
I don't think people think you can hold onto things forever, but making them last a little longer.
Maybe because I never experienced close deaths. This is my first pet and became really important companion and pillar around here. It'll only have one year of life.
They do, but they usually had died young, so they kept their youth. If they died by age, would they return in the same manner they used to be before they died? They'll die again soon and repeat the cycle.

No matter what choice I take.
That's what you'll do if you were in my shoes?
