Contra Dancing

8 of us went out contra dancing tonight in Pasadena (uber-thanks to quartzpebble, sillygoosegirl, and camlost for organizing it). It was so much more fun than I had expected. The dances were all scripted, so I always knew what I was supposed to do and where I was supposed to go. Oh, and I did no organizing; I just drove.

Dance in La Verne tomorrow; it's closer and cheaper. I don't know if I'm going yet, but if you're interested let me know.

There's contra-dancing out here!!! Where does one find out where the dances are?

There's a second Sunday dance in La Verne which is a bike-ride/bus ride/short trip from the Claremont Colleges if that is where you hail from. This trip was farther West though, out toward Pasadena.

Someone also taught a free PE course last year. She may or may not teach it again. Her name is Chris Miller (I think) and is a English professor at Pomona. It had a live band, met weekely, and was *free*. Enrollment was kinda low though. That was the only general bad thing.
