What the fuck was up with last night?

I can't wait to hear the whole country whinge about who they elected.

Are we really another America?

Oh wait, Howard didn't cheat, did he?

That would make us worse, yeah?

Fuck.

It's a shame that for every leftie there's a district full of hicks or big business bastards satisfied with Howard. It'll be interesting to see how everything pans out from here, now that we're ever so slightly fucked.

It could be a lot worse - Latham could have got in instead.

I would hardly call that worse.

Some would argue that would have been the better of the circumstances.

Latham is a moron, and he has no idea whats good for our country. He had promiced so much impossible rubbish that you can't honestly expect him to be doing anything more than trying to attract as many green and liberal votes as possible (the Peter Garrett and last second concern for the forests stunt springs to mind). If it were Kim Beasly running I'd have voted for Labour, because at least he had a clue, and wasn't a total redneck.
Anyway, despite the things I don't like about Howard our country has never been this well off. He had a lot of very difficult things come up these past years, and for the most part hes seen us all through it fine.
And before you go pointing out all the things that you don't agree with, perhaps you should think about how the same outcomes would have come about even if labour was in.

Let me hazard a guess here, 'Anonymous'...

You voted Liberal, didn't you?

Yep, it disturbs me that after all the shit he did he actually increased his majority. Its damn near fuckin criminal.

What the fuck is wrong with the public of Australias collective head?

Sorry about the swearing, I'm pissed off dammit.
At least my local electorate went back to Labour (I think).

Speaking as an American...

Trust me, you can't possibly do any worse. -_-
