m-my life. ALSO, SPAMMING THIS JOURNAL, but I just managed to find Raw-Manga's scans and got them to DL. Robert's sole appearance in Ueki PLUS (the second series) is in an omake, and it's very ... special.
SO. In the regular series, Rinko crushes on Robert but he is QUITE CRAZY for most of the series and thus does not give a shit about her. At the end, though, he starts to change and they actually date! Apparently!
Except Rinko sort of has this thing where when she gets called something like "useless," she, uh. Snaps. She never remembers it after the fact - after COMPLETELY OWNING the Heavenly Being she was fighting in the tournament, she wonders what just happened, why the opponent is completely down, and why her teammates are whispering about "taboo words."
So uh.
Robert sort of tripped that.
And Rinko sort of kicked his ass hardcore. AND THAT WAS THE END OF THAT ILLUSTRIOUS RELATIONSHIP.
Cue Ueki PLUS omake:
Haiji, one of the new characters in PLUS, gives therapy to characters from the first series. Including Robert. ephemeralize (who is also doing general PLUS translations et all and is awesome) summarizes them here (including chinese scans). A-and. Robert's is.
... Robert basically sees Haiji because he has become frightened of certain women, particularly those with pigtails who also wear glasses. Haiji decides to test this theory.
Robert proceeds to scream bloody murder.
And it ends as it usually does.
