This. Has to be seriously my new favorite post punch-in-Nihon scene. And the fact that it's fem!Kuro but it's still Kurogane in a nutshell, guh. To have her feel blessed that Fai loves her for HER after growing up being and being given crap for not being "female" enough was not at all overbearing and blatant about her sex in this canon AU.

Ooh, I love how she overcome her strong tendency and will of wanting to forget those painful memories and tell Fai. I like to think that someday Fai will know what happened to Kurogane and this is a wonderful time.

So yeah, by all means if you want to write more of fem!Kuro for procrastination, I heartily support you!

i think it would be silly to write a straight crossover where kurogane is treated/grew up to be exactly the same, just with boobs. society treats women a lot differently to boys even now, and even growing up in a female-dominated space with amaterasu, tomoyo and souma as her companions, the society at large expects things from women that are just antithical to kurogane's character.

I love how you play with Kurogane's personality. At times she is feral, but at other times so innocent, and I suppose I imagine Kurogane that way as both a man and a woman. She isn't about to deny who she is, but she knows that not being feminine isn't desirable. It's adorable how she never had a problem before meeting Fai, but love makes you all flustered and concerned. It's a good thing Fai loves Kurogane no matter what and finds her desirable. <3

Like I said to Zel above, Kurogane is still Kurogane, but she grew up in a society that treats girls differently - to ignore the effect this would have on her character is to do her a disservice. she's still pretty damn badass! ... but her culture thinks tomoyo is the perfect woman, and she's about as far from that as you can get. XD

Kurogirl being all uncertain and wondering if she's attractive all the sudden is just too much. ;_; She's so wonderful and if she's "too" anything then she's "too fucking incredible for words" - kinda like your fic. I love me some Nihon fic, and this is Nihon fic on like the highest level of everything. They're still THEM and there's still the punch and then there's KuroFai het sex which I do not even find weird because you're amazing.
