I know you said here that a small houseboat is fine, so long as it's kept anchored. But what about a luxury yacht like this?

In canon, my character is really rich and despite the dorm system in her high school, she lives on said luxury yacht instead. Will she be allowed to do the same here as long as it's kept docked?

It's a really, really big ship. Like a luxury liner but just for a small group of people.

Sorry, but we're gonna say no. While a houseboat is acceptable for faculty, all students must live in the dorms. The administration treats all students the same regardless of how rich they are, so she'll have to leave her boat at home. Even if it is a very nice boat.

1) How will teaching actually work? I'm assuming most classes will be, well, assumed, but will some of them be played out?

2) The character I'm considering apping (though nothing's certain) is a DC supervillain, but he was not given a real name. I have a headcanon name for him. Would that suffice?

1) Yes and yes. Most classes will be assumed, but they can be played out whenever people are interested!

2) That is perfectly okay! Plenty of characters out there don't have last names or names at all in their canon, so whatever you choose for them will be fine.

Excellent, excellent excellent. My main worry regarding 1) is that the character I'm considering would be a music teacher, but my knowledge of music is a mere fraction of his, so I'd have to do a lot of winging it/googling.

Thank you so much! I hope I'm able to apply. Best of luck! ♥

The character I want to apply for is known for her vulgar language and clothing, though the latter I intend to tone down, sooo two questions!

1) Is there a uniform or dress code? If so, is it possible to get specifics on these? because really

2) Her language tends to be very crude and (violently) graphic. Will I have to put warnings on her posts or otherwise censor her dialogue?

Sorry if these questions are silly, RP isn't super fun for me when I unintentionally offend someone.

1) There will be a uniform, yes. We're still deciding exactly what it will look like, but it will most likely be a typical uniform and incorporate the school colors, "crimson and slate" (red and grey.)

2) I don't think OOC warnings will be necessary, but keep in mind that teachers will jump on students for their language, as is proper! Though some might not care as much as others, it's still technically against the rules. So be careful when you're flinging those colorful metaphors around.

Hello! The character I'm planning to play in his current point in canon is blind but he's also ridiculously tech savvy. I was wondering how blind-friendly would the technology be in Reims? Are there braille keyboards or computers with voice commands; will he have to reprogram a computer to fit his needs with help?

The school does its best to make provisions for all kinds of students. This means that braille keyboards, screen readers, etc. are all available in the computer lab with a simple request. And of course, his personal devices can be fitted with whatever he wants.

Hey, question about reserves and teacher positions.

The character I was looking to app would be a band/music/chorus teacher. I noticed that there are already reserves for both Band Director and Music. Is it alright to have more than one teacher for each if both mine and the other two characters get in? And will it still be alright to reserve him as a Band and/or Music teacher regardless?

After some discussion, we've worked out that there will be three teachers (two high school level, one middle school) for the main subjects, English, Math, History and Science. For electives and everything else, there will be two teachers (one HS, one MS).*

To your specific question; I think we can swing having a Band Director (who doesn't teach) in addition to the two Music teachers. So, if both of those other players get in, you can still apply as the second music teacher. For now, feel free to reserve as whatever you like, since it's impossible to say who's going to actually go through with their apps.

Hope this helps!

*Depending on how many students we end up having, we may increase this number in the future.
