Regarding the actual structure of the school itself, how wheelchair-friendly is the place?

Thanks!

Although the school was converted from a much older building, it has been fully renovated to be handicapped accessible. Those in wheelchairs should have little trouble getting around.

Adding a question on to this, because it relates to the character I'm applying for, as well:

What kind of things are there for the handicapped-accessible? Is it only ramps/ect or are there elevators and keys for those things? Am I getting too complicated? |D

Thanks again!

Strategically placed ramps, public elevators in all the buildings, all that good stuff. Pretty much whatever any modern building should have.

I'm interested in apping a split personality character but I'm debating my options so I wanted to check before I set myself up to app in a way that I can't.

Would I be able to play her as two separate characters (i.e. twins) with two separate journals? If so, would that count as two against my character limit and two on activity checks?

After some discussion, we're going to have to say no to that particular solution. If the two are distinct enough to be played as separate people, then playing both of them would simply invite too much playercest. Instead, we see two options for you:

1) Play the character as having multiple personalities, using the same journal, OR
2) Play them as siblings, but only playing one of them. The other personality/sibling would need to be picked up by a different player.

We know this is a tricky one so if you have any further questions or ideas, please let us know!

Awesome, thank you!

I think I'm going to take some time to give it thought before applying for that character. I do have one more question though.

I've put a reserve in for Allen from D. Gray-Man, who has white hair thanks to a curse from his childhood. I've heard that the same thing can happen in reality from a traumatic experience. Since I don't think Allen would dye his hair even in an AU setting and I'd rather keep it white if possible.

So my question is whether I'd be able to say something in his childhood caused his hair to go white, or would that too far out of the realm of reality for this game?

Although the game is mostly based in realism, we're fudging a little to assume that crazy hair and eye colors are natural (because honestly, having that many people with crazy dyed hair and colored contacts in one place would be more unrealistic).

So Allen can either have natural white hair, or you can go with the traumatic experience thing if you feel that suits the events of his background more.

I have a PB question, if you don't mind! I'm thinking about apping a canon non-human character: first, would you rather us use canon icons/imagery rather than a PB, even if he's (in this case) human rather than a book?

Second, are there any PB guidelines? For instance, I notice that the character I currently use for him is on reserve - should I change the PB to avoid doubling up on the character, even if they're completely different?

We don't currently have any rules for PBs and don't really plan on making them. It's understood that all characters are human in the game, so it doesn't matter to us what's in your icons. If you want to use canon non-human image, that's fine! If you want to use a PB, that's fine too!

For your specific situation - where the character you're using as a PB is also going to be played - we'll request that you talk to the canon player and see if they have a problem with you using the same PB. As long as they allow it, we're cool with it as well.

Seconding the question above about PBs. For non-human characters are we to use canon pictures or find a PB for the character and what they'd look like as a human?

Secondly, if character's name is obviously not-human (like in my case: Bumblebee), are we to make up human names for them?

Thanks in advance for replies! o7

See the above response - we don't care, so go ahead and choose whatever you like for the icons!

As for the name, you can change it if you want, make Bumblebee a nickname, or just say that the character's parents were hippies. XD Whatever works. As long as they have a first and last name, we'll give you freedom over that.

Thank you! :D

Another question while I'm at it, an app question. In the personality section, we're to back up traits with examples from unchanged canon, yes? For example, if I say that Bee has a little bit of a vain streak in him, I give the example from the first movie when Mikaela commented on his altmode and he threw a fit and drove off to get a face-lifting (so to speak), rather than appropriate the situation into an AU history?

I hope this makes sense. /o\

Just realized I replied with a different account. Still same person! 8D;;;;;

That sounds about right to me, yes. Just make sure it's clear that the examples are from the original canon so there's no confusion.

This is more app-related than game-related, but are we allowed to challenge applications when the character is already reserved by someone else at this point in time?

Our reserve/app system works thusly: If Player A has a reserve on a character, Player B can submit an app for the same character, but we will always consider Player A's app first. If that app is good, it will be accepted; if not, we will then look at Player B. The two won't be compared.
