I'll whimper about 'Howl's Moving Travesty', thankyou so much.

I am afear'd. I am greatly afear'd. But I fear I may have to watch it all anyway. Which is a pity.

is there more than one film? i was aware it's a film of a book & have heard it doesnt do the book justice at all. but, as i havent read the books, nor do i know anything about them, i enjoyed the film :) it was a bit scary though, mind.
& I love Howls Moving castle! whats wrong with that?!

HMC took more than a few liberties with the original.

And I don't know why...

"I found Wagner's Ring accommodating, even if it had the texture of Bach's last movement"

1) I heard, I heard but unwisely I strode forth (visually) and was punished...

It's always a cause for trepidation when you consider the potential horrors that lurk within such films.

And as I said, it took a vibrant story with well-realised characters, most of whom had a sound if disturbing psychological basis, and made them a bit 2d and strung them along in a disjointed tale. Without spoilerificatating it too much, if you were on a desperate quest not only to save yourself from yourself that requires near-constant flight, but also to solve the riddle of the unbalanced universe...... would you stop for three or so days to plow a field and listen to a girl sing about falcons?
