This post has been brewing in my mind for some time now... Hopefully I can articulate everything I've been feeling and thinking lately

I'm so incredibly sorry you are going through this! My heart absolutely breaks for you, and I hope that doctors can find a solution to ease some of your pain. Please don't appologize for sharing your thoughts. I think we all understand how big and life-changing this is

thank you so much for writing, jen. i really appreciate hearing your thoughts. "why does god let bad things happen" often seems to be at the crux of belief or disbelief for many people. our instinct is to look for someone to blame. but i can see the peace in accepting that these things are as much a part of life as the good things. and in that, i think, is the imperative for all of us to love and support each other in times of suffering. because at one point or another we all will experience pain and loss.
Give it another four weeks, and maybe it will improve. And if not, give it four more. Doctors can only guess at how long the healing will take. You're only halfway through the recommended rest amount. Waiting is hard, I know--but pray that this is a phase, not forever.
thank you :) yep, waiting and uncertainty is the worst. i just want to know if i need to sell off all my fabric and start a new hobby (i've decided horseback riding lol) or if i can get back to it!
I'm sorry I don't have any advice or words of wisdom, but hopefully the cortisone will help and you can return to doing what you love! Modern medicine is a wonderful thing, and I'm sure they'll find a solution for you that will have you back in fighting shape!
I'm so sorry. It's a dreadful situation and like others have said, there's no reason to feel guilt for being heartbroken about it. I hope you'll heal in a way that allows you to return to your passion. Hugs.
