1860s "Oriental" Fancy Dress

Michael and I had the opportunity to attend a private 19th century masquerade/fancy dress ball last weekend at Braehead Manor. It was quite possibly the loveliest ball event I have ever been to! That's such a lovely costume! I especially like the little shoes, with their toe-trim and wee bells - did you make them? And Michael's uniform is quite dashing, indeed!

I love it! Definitely looks like a comfortable, fun outfit to wear. Plus I love past era's fancy-dress interpretations of other times and places. (The 18thc where there's a panier under *everything* cracks me up!) And that looks like a wonderful location for a ball.
