I finally remembered to buy snaps today. I probably have some somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find them! So I had to get new ones, you see. So the belt now has two snap positions depending on how loose/snug I want it, and I'm calling this dress 100% done. Woo!

So I came back on Tuesday from a week-long (well, 9 days including travel days) trip to Toronto to visit my sister and BIL and nephews. 8-month-old Alexander is adorable, if a royal PITA when it comes to staying asleep. I made another set of overalls today - baby overalls, that is! Out of a denim-colored cotton I got a remnant of years ago, with turqoise polka dots. I had some bright teal buttons on hand that do well enough; not matchy matchy, but it was those or white, so they won! Strawberry dress still needs its buckle; I just ordered one (well, two) on Etsy, but I'll have to cover it when it arrives as it's black and the buckle OBVIOUSLY should be red. Or white at least. I couldn't find either color in the right size so had to settle for black, y' see.

So you might want to check our your local JoAnn - their clearance buttons are basically all 50c a card. My local store has a LOOOOOT of buttons, only some of them marked with clearance tags.
