Okay, they're not very exciting. I don't have the imagination - or a cotton scrap selection! It's all wool and twill and linen solids - to make scenes, really, so this is all I've got. I've never done anything like this before, if you couldn't already tell. Nothing fancy, but I was enjoying the freedom of 'well the zigzagging is meant to be visible and clearly not meant to be perfect so WHEEEEE'. I bought way too many patterns in the last two days. Good thing there aren't any recently released costume or vintage ones, is all I can say!

So yesterday I got some white twill tape after work to put on my voile petticoat. I PLANNED to go right home and sew it on, but then went to the local thrift store to get baby clothes for my newest nephew, and then went to my parents' house to drop those off, and realized as I was headed there that, Hey! I wasn't expecting to be completely wowed, but it was even less great than I thought. They basically lifted scenes out of the old animated movie without the dialogue or whatever to explain what the HELL was going on, so if you hadn't seen the original I imagine you'd be rather perplexed, over and over and over again.
