[Chell finds herself standing in the main room, having practically drifted through the other previous rooms. There is no hiding the grimace at the dead and for a moment, she has to close her eyes.
Freedom returns to her body when Venus bolts from the room, and, trying to ignore the bodies, she follows the girl until Chell finds her.]
Are you...all right? [The woman stands several feet away. She's not...exactly good about this comforting thing.]
[ The moment Minako hears the voice, she lifts her hands from her face. Even though she's feeling this bad, completely taken over by guilt and grief, she doesn't want others to see her like this.
It's hard to hide everything though, with the miserable bloodstains all over her clothes and skin by now. She takes a deep breath. ]
I-- ... I'm fine. [ A total lie. Her voice sounds a little broken. ] ... I'll be fine.
[ ... Oh. She recognizes the voice, although she has to think from where for a moment-- the memories of Demeleier don't filter through until she puts her mind to it. Still, for people from there to see her like this makes her feel sick to the stomach, she never liked looking so weak-- ]
Junpei-kun-- ... Ah, I'm sorry. [ She isn't saying why she's sorry, she isn't even sure. Maybe she's sorry for him having to see all of this, maybe for acting this way in front of other people. She slowly removes her hands from her face, although the bloodstains leave red marks on her face. ]
[ She forces the words out, forces her voice to remain somewhat stable and calm even though part of her really just wants to cry and never get up again. She tries to wipe her arm on her face to get off some of the blood, although maybe it's partially to obscure her facial expression a little too. ]
[Rubi drifts through the rooms, seemingly untroubled by the accusatory corpses. If anything he looks a bit confused.
He's gliding in midair with his over-sized scythe held in both hands. Why does he have it? The dead pose little danger, even if they speak.
He does wonder though... what happened?
Eventually he finds the only person who seems alive, despite the blood covering her hands. He lands and kneels next to her, still seeming not at all disturbed. Only mildly wondering, curious.
She seems a bit familiar, too. Though he doesn't place it right away, having only spoken to her once outside of the dream world.]
[ She doesn't even notice him until he speaks up, too absorbed in her guilt and thoughts to notice anything. But her head snaps up when she does hear it, especially since she didn't expect anyone to be here. (She doesn't want anyone to see her like this. )
And yet at what he's mentioning.. She can only nod weakly, not removing the hands from her face just yet. ]
... That's right. They're talking about me. [ Her voice comes out slowly, shaking even as she tries to keep it steady. ] The one who couldn't save them.. That was me.
[Despite Rubi's detached manner, he feels a kind of sympathy along with his confusion. He too has protected others and failed.
This girl, though, was supposed to save so many by herself? He finds that odd. Unless she had to kill them for some reason. Even that, he can understand, if that's the case.
But if that isn't true, something is very strange. The accusations of the dead...]
Ah... it doesn't seem as if they could save you, either.
Save me? [ She now looks up, some blood remaining on her face because of the blood on her hands that she touched her face with. Her expression is a little blank, almost unreadable, because she's forcing it to be that way.
... It almost seems like she realises something a little. ]
Yes, nobody saved me either.. I'll die. ... No, I died here a long time ago. [ Perhaps she now knows it's just a memory. Otherwise she would be one of the bodies as well, after all. ] But I wasn't supposed to be saved in the first place, the princess was--
[ She can't finish her sentence, choking on the sudden surge of guilt at the mention of princess Serenity. ]
[so many bodies, and so much blood. Aigis couldn't believe it at first, that such a battle had only recently happen, that are their lives had come to an end. She had no idea how, or why, there had to have been a way to avoid all the bloodshed.
Aigis walked towards sound of footsteps once she had heard them, hoping that it belonged to a survivor rather than an enemy.]
Hello..? Please don't be afraid, I'm here to help.
[ That voice-- Minako peeks from behind her bloodstained hands just a little to see who it is, before slowly lifting her hands from her face. It leaves red marks on her face from the blood. ]
Ah.. [ ... She doesn't want Aigis to see her like this. She knows that much. She doesn't want to be miserable in front of others, even when she's sitting here covered in her friends', in her princess' blood. So she tries smiling a bit, but it's thin and fragile. ]
[despite her friend's efforts, there's no fooling the information gathered by aigis' eyes. she looks the other for a moment, before holding out one of her arms.]
