Hmmm. Remus flicking away boggarts with the wave of a hand and Molly wanting to give him comfort back for the comfort he's given her. It could almost be right out of Book 6. Ya think?

"When have I ever wanted to talk about it?" is tragic-Remus at his best.

Nice, my dear, even if you are a little late ...

Wow. That's a devastating, sharp ending. Lovely character study, the switching pov works nicely for this piece.

I'm not at all sure I'll be able to stand seeing him. I'll do it, of course, but it'll be damn near unbearable. Lily's eyes in James' face, with Sirius' temperament -

Sixteen years old, and there's nothing about the boy that doesn't hurt my heart.

There is so much angst in these few words.

Those are the exact same lines I'd chosen to quote in the comment, too. Odd. *g*

This is - well. "Lovely" isn't exactly the right word. Maybe if you take "lovely" and mix in "heartbreaking" with "amazingly insightful" and "wonderfully in-character," you'd be a little closer to what I mean. (Oh, and don't forget the dash of "makes me want to cry."

Good work.

Your use of Molly was perfect. She really added, and iluminated Remus' pain from another perspective. Thanks.

thanks! i admit that having molly turn up in the drabble was a tough curve for me to hit. i sat and stared at the thing for weeks, and i really do owe the beta-people serious devotion for asking the right questions to get me started. i'm glad you liked the finished product.

Oh, I love it! It's early, so I'm not quite with-it yet, but --oh, it's just so lovely, and sad, and *human.* Thank you so much! I didn't know what to expect when I turned in that drabble, and this is fantastic. :)

My heart aches for poor Remus there. This was a wonderful fic; very OotP, very very well written indeed.

You're welcome, doll ;) I'm a friend of Hikaru's and not some nasty, smelly, RANDOM person, by the way! I've read an awful lot of fics therefore and this was just beautiful. MY JUDGEMENT IS RELIABLE, DAMNIT >:O

Alright, truthfully, this made me want to eat you. That better?
