Oh FFS next Monday is a federal holiday, which means yet another long weekend. The last time I worked five days in a row was . . . I have to look at my calendar to see when that was. another parenting triumph
We have that insulating plastic wrap on our fireplace, because that part of our house doesn't need to be any draftier than it is. So the other day my brilliant idea was that after I wrap the kid's presents from Santa (in different paper than the ones from us, of course), I will additionally wrap them in Saran Wrap.

I dreamed I had to drive a friendly acquaintance from the curling club to the ER because he couldn't breathe. Like, he was breathing, but only very shallow because his lungs were full of crud and he couldn't breathe properly, much less well. We had the prince's 5th birthday party on Saturday, though it's a week and a half until the actual day. His birthday is always too close to Thanksgiving to make scheduling a birthday party convenient.
