OH GOD!!! THE HIVES...THE HIVES!!! I'M PAINTED WITH THEM!!! THE ITCHING! THE ITCHING!!! I CAN'T CONTROL IT. SOMEBODY PLEASE KILL ME!

Just took the maximum dose of Benadryl...successfully called out of work for the morning...will repeat the process for the afternoon. Must distract myself from my body...must watch TV or movies.

I've been there, hon. I had the same thing happen to me a few years back. You're doing the right thing by staying home. Perhaps OTC Claritin might also help with the histamine reaction; nothing really you can do except wait it out and try and make yourself as comfortable as possible. Perhaps a topical gel or lotion with lidocaine or benzocaine could help, at least when it gets really bad.
