Brenda's dog, Bella, tonite was freaking out and I was trying to figure out what was wrong with her because B was busy doing something else. So I checked and she had food, water and a bone. Oh Nene, I've been there so many times with Max. I HATE flea bite, they NEVER heal just like fire ants. And, there is absolutely no use for them, I dont even know why the exist.

Helen- While i'm sure your comment was meant to cheer Renee up, I don't think that is what she needs to hear right now....maybe something along the lines of

"FLEAS SUCK!!! DON'T GIVE UP!!! Keep your chin up hon"

yes, fleas suck...but maybe something like that would make her feel better instead of reminding her how much they suck.

Ahhhh hell! I HATE FLEAS!! Im sorry! :(
I think I have a phobia about those useless little bugs. My offer still stands of a feather bed (with your name on it) and a brand spanking new pillow, just for you :) Anytime you want, all ya got to do is ask and your wish will be granted :)

Oh man... my desire to not be a burden to you is quickly being overtaken by the desire for a featherbed and a house that is as comfortable as yours to be in...

Okay, I'm on it. Alcohol. You mean to drink or put on the bites? (just kidding) I used some anti-itch cream that did nothing, so alcohol is next. What a shitty night.

Hot water - as hot and as long as you cna stand it on the bites. It exhausts the histamine and the itch will stop for several hours. Really! It works on ANY itch (well, maybe not any...)

I got fleas from matt's house in august, and gave them to my dog. It was wretched.
More importantly, I just wanted to drop a line and say that I am glad to see there are still bastions of liberalism left in ar after this incredibly dispiriting election. There's a poem that one of my roommates sent me that made me feel a little better, it's called "To a Friend Whose Work Has Come to Nothing," it's Yeats, and I think you'd like it- check it out.
