Things are improving. My parents have electricity, phone, water, and yesterday got hot water back, and we spent most of today mucking out the basement. I pushed the muck into piles, Dad shoveled into buckets, my brother brought the buckets upstairs, Mom emptied and rinsed said buckets and sent them back. Not pretty, but the floor isn't four

I've been to wedding much smaller than 80 people. Everyone will survive, I'm sure. Weddings are not cheap, everyone knows that. Or everyone *should* know that.

My issue is that family is all 'You MUST invite ALL the family' which then excludes, I don't know, all of my and B's friends. Seriously, the list for B's family has 39 people. My friend Anne suggested I tell them 'you have X slots you can fill... you sort it out!' which would help.
Regardless I'm negotiating for help getting a bigger venue. The church basement flooded, badly, and might not be available anyway...

It is a potluck, actually. :) And we'll have rice crispy treats for the cake. (We'll have to buy or make corn free marshmallows, but then it will be safe for both B and me.)

Thank you! I'm feeling pretty good about helping with the basement. It was cold, wet, and painful (in addition to exhausting), and I acted like a Real Grown Up (TM) and didn't complain until afterwards when I was home with B! My brother didn't complain either and actually showed up, so, win!
