I think I just ate expired yogurt, even though the expiration date is in April.

I need to make money again. I'm getting scared about my financial situation. I did just get $400 bucks from some retirement plan I forgot I was a part of when I worked for the high schools, but it isn't enough.

I'm ready to be a grownup.

To even be admitted to the credential program for teaching li'l kids, I need three additional classes ... which means I wouldn't even be able to start the program 'til next Spring and would need to take classes over Fall ...

My brain hurts. I have absolutely no idea what I am going to do when I graduate. I knew this day would come :(

So fires really suck. My family was on voluntary/precautionary evacuation ... I've been in Alpine a lot this week. I took my old kitty Missy home to me and Marvin 'cause she hides and escapes and would be a lot for my family to handle if they were to have been put on mandatory evac. Today we read (were supposed to read, which I actually did, unlike the rest of the class) about Saartje "Sara" Baartman and Julia Pastrana, two women exploited in American and European freak shows in the 19th century. I feel very uncultured. Everyone is currently off in exotic countries and/or traveling to more very soon and/or has at least been outside of the United States, NOT counting Rosarito.

My daddy is in the hospital, not doing very well I hear :(

And I haven't been able to visit him because my life suddenly revolves around school and work and eating

So I'm working at the paper right now in my newly appointed position as assistant copy chief, and I was just informed by the new EIC that I will be managing editor next year!!

One of my AVID students died today in a car accident. His friend is badly injured. They're only 16. Life is depressing.

I don't have any money, I have too much homework, I am lacking sleep, I don't have the training for work done STILL and will probably get yelled at, I don't have any ideas of what to write for the paper and am hearing constant pressure regarding that, and I have to complete numerous essays for scholarships which are due in the next coming weeks or ( Read more... )
