So I puchased this pattern awhile ago since it seemed so interesting and this weekend I decided to give them a try. Upon close investigation the pattern revealed itself to be a very cunning piece of corsetry however I had little hope that a commercial pattern, even this one, would fit my frame. So I posted a while ago extolling the virtues of tiny sewing needles and the project I was working on was a cap for my 1812 outfit. I took this cap straight out of Fitting and Proper (page 35) with basically no changes. I was going to put it together the way I felt it should be but upon closer inspection the construction is very interesting...

More (exciting) Sundry:

I got my CAS statement which means I can apply for my visa which means that if the worst case scenario happens and the visa does take three weeks to process I'll still be able to travel when I want to!

Which means I need to:
-apply for a visa
-book a flight
-apply for residence (luckily I'm guaranteed a place)

I have an interview for the MPhil in Textile Conservation program at the University of Glasgow! Well I'm not actually going to Glasgow, they're calling me at home, but this means I might be going to Glasgow in the fall!
