Let me start by saying....

Sue is fine. However, she started feeling congested Friday and it got worse yesterday-plus she kept doing things around the house instead of resting. This morning she woke me at 8am and asked me to take her to an ER. The closest one I could think of was Mercy Fitz (especially since I worked the last two days there) so off we went. The ER was pretty ( Read more... )

I am glad she is ok. I don't recommend Mercy Fitz EVER! First- it's a catholic hospital. Second, it is not a good hospital. You're better off going to delaware county or taylor. Steroids are good for breathing. It helps me.

I'm glad you had a good experience there. I have only heard horror stories. The people I spoke to complained about women's care and about heart care. I am happy to hear that a catholic hospital let you put Jeanine down as next of kin. Delco should not have given you a problem. I know that there are some good catholic hospitals, but I also know that fitz will not give out prescriptions for birth control to women who just had a baby. The important thing is that you are doing better and did not have any problems.

I was at Fitz a few times as an EMT and I know one of the ER nurses there as well. I watched their patient care like a hawk and I have to say I was impressed. And for the first time we saw an Indian doctor who spoke with no accent at all! Everyone was great there like sue said in her response. All I know is I'm glad they were 6 minutes away instead of fighting my way through traffic to taylor or springfield.

Thanks! This one came on soooo fast. Usually I have a few days notice to call my doc.

I hope she gets well soon. A hard lesson to learn is to take care of yourself properly. It really does matter that you drink enough fluids and get enough sleep/rest. I've been learning that the hard way, too.

I'm fine.. just haven't had a major incident in about 6 years.. I guess it was time. I am sitting up right now checking e-mail as I have slept ALL day PRETTY MUCH. i KNOW, i KNOW.. i STILL NEED to rest more but I am wide awake! I won't be on here long. It's easier to breath while sitting up. I feel GOOD right now... which of course makes me wonder if calling out of work already (did it at 8:15 when I was feeling particularly oxygen deprived) was the right thing to do. I expect I'll still be tired tomorrow though and wobbly. I promise to follow doctors orders and not lift anything and drink LOTS of fluids. I didn't end up in the ER for lack of hydration though... No IV sticks for me.. Yay! Only 3 nebs and two rounds of prednizone. Just wanted to point that out. You know I'm good about drinking my water.

Love you Super Woman ;-)
