I've been in State College, PA for about two and a half weeks. Things are progressing nicely in my research, albeit a bit slowly at times. As anyone who actually still reads this knows, I don't update much. However, being away leads me back to it, at least until I finish up with this REU.

I have thought long and hard about letting this journal fade away. However, I couldn't very well just cease to write, I feel that would be a very dull end for the old boy. My past...it all seems like faded memory. I don't know why but I've been thinking about a lot of the choices I've made since leaving high-school (including that last spring before graduation). I just spent my morning wrestling with two data sets. The end result? I have two sets of isotopic data that have yet to line up, but I still have about ten different isotopic pairings to try out before I give up.
