why, yes, I actually DID get my geek on again )

Always love your SPN meta, but an especial big THANK YOU for pointing out some Further Reading on alchemy. My worldbuilding research, you helps it :).

Strictly because of your lovely comment, I added a link to more info on John Dee as well as to the Monas Hieroglyphica I referenced in the entry. Good stuff. Cool pics. I regrettably had to triage one image because I was going waaaaaaaaay my already only-vaguely focused point. :D Enjoy.

That is exactly the kind of thing that's useful to my research. Thank you!

I put together a selection of blues music from the festival I went to a couple of weeks ago - if you're interested, you can swing on by the post and download it.

Yay! More achemy-related SPN meta! (I'm convinced that it's done intentionally, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out Kripke's coming to you for all of this. :D )

I need to go back and watch the ep again, now.

I have every hope of eventually identifying what's in that other bowl because I'm certain I can make some cracky connection that weirdly fits within the whole alchemy business.

They just had all sorts of fun bits in this, aside from the obvious (Dean dork-dancing to bathroom, Dean's various horrific deaths, Sam's hair getting increasingly more appalling, and so on) so, yeah, I'll probably have to watch it a second time, too. It was a really neat little ep.

You should absolutely give me a question to ask Cathryn Humphris when I do an interview with her next month!

Given that she wrote "Dead Man's Blood" and started me on my Grim Noir Grimoire (an on-going series of notes I keep about the various herbs, metals, and sundry elements used), if I can think of a way to phrase a simple and direct question regarding her research because, my god, there was either blind luck or unprecedented genius in the choice of herbs John had them burn to temporarily hide their scents.

When do you need the question? Also? THANK YOU. What a cool opportunity.

*G* It won't be until towards the end of March I'm thinking, after all the news scripts are written and vetted, so LOTS of time!

Spread the word. Anyone who has questions for her can send them to me. My email is best jdsgirlbev@gmail.com, but if you send them to Papa W they'll reach me there too.

As I posted elsewhere:
Though this may turn out to be more of a one-on-one type interview, I will ask other people's questions. A lot depends on how MANY questions get asked, how many duplicates of the same question are asked, and how many questions she's willing to answer. I WILL credit anyone whose question gets asked, (and the group you're with, if you'd like) like this {"Person X (from group/comm Y) asks: "...?"} as long as you clearly identify yourself in that format ( ... )

I cannot believe you watched the ep! OMG. Were you running a fever? Handcuffed and otherwise secured in some tantalizing position without access to a remote control? Or are you just a sucker for "Groundhog's Day" eps, too? :D

And, man, it's just that I haven't been able to lighten the hell up and have fun with my shows in so long. My geekage is free at last to whoop it up and live a little. AWESOME.
