Feb 20, 2008 17:28

I took a long lunch break from Overhauling The Room to watch the latest TW (which made me make so many different noises, I can't even) and last week's SPN.

why, yes, I actually DID get my geek on again )

meta, alchemy, history, supernatural, neep

Glad you enjoyed. Some of those links (not the self-whoring ones) are actually quite spiffy, if a tad esoteric and archaic. But spiffy nonetheless!

And, yes, welcome to my kind of porn on the Internets. :D

*totally adds to memories to reread when it's not 3:30 AM*

You have the BEST neep.

I'm tickled as hell to be able to offer up some SPN-related neepage after all this time. :D I finally caught this week's ep, too. Heh. They full-on busted out the alchemical symbols and impressively accurate pentagrams again. And the Latin! OMG. JP hired a tutor to teach him how to read Latin aloud and he's nailed. ♥! I'm so damned impressed with this show.

You are awesome. I was going to ask you about the symbol in the Trickster episode, and there you go and explain it to me and to us.

Heeee. I'm delighted I could anticipate your request and pass along the handful of fun tidbits I happened to catch and connect together. I've missed writing up this sort of fun geekage, so I'm all the happier you and a few others enjoyed reading about it. Thank you! :D

Hot dog! you did SPN meta! \0/

Your meta posts always make me want to pack a bag of supplies, haul a lantern and plunge in the nearest university library (never to be heard of again?)

I love that "never to be heard of again?" you included. *g* Nothing like a touch of a Lovecraftian shiver running down one's spine when digging into arcane materials.

And, yeah, I'm thrilled as all get-out that I'm feeling focused and functional enough to get my geek on with something I find as fun as slamming together a SPN meta entry. Thank you so much for reading it -- I'm thrilled you enjoyed it.

applauds wildly

I'm loving all the approaches to analyzing Trickster, from Norse to Native to alchemy.

Hi, and thank you! I have so much fun when I recognize bits and pieces brought over from legit research done by someone on the show, as well as just making cheerfully cracky connections between what appears in an ep and what I recall or recognize from the random-ass research I enjoy doing. It's an absolute tickle for me either way, and a pleasure to pass along because I know there are other folks who get a kick out this sort of thing, too.

Thanks again for swinging by. Feel free to pop by any time. Cheers!
