Day-um, woman! I'm still sitting here wiping drool from my chin after watching SPN (OK, rewatching) and thinking that Dean can even make hospital pjs look badass, and you're all up with Aggrippa. Very nifty.

I'm barely past noticing that, yeah, we really weren't seeing anything in the way of underwear lines showing through Dean's pajama bottoms. That symbol was just driving me bugfuck because I knew I recognized it from somewhere.

Stumbled across this on friendsfriends and... wow. This is insane. I had seen references to Azazel in other 2x01 metas before this one, taking a somewhat more 'conventional' Judeo-Christian approach, but this blows everything away, research-wise. I can totally see Kripke using the Key of Solomon, but the thought of him dipping into Agrippa and plotting via alchemical theory just kills me. You win, the end.

I haven't looked at the other 2x01 meta yet, dammit. I wish I had -- I would have loved to have gotten a hint about what that symbol was instead of slowly going nuts as I stared at it and tried to remember where I'd seen it before.

There's no doubt in my mind Kripke hit The Key of Solomon -- the images used in DT were taken straight out of there. I'm almost certain the writers had to have hit Agrippa, too, given the meanings and nuances and how perfectly those tie in to SPN's mytharc.
