Brej, I am annoyed. Why, you ask? Well, it seems like I am being thwarted in my quest to see Rent, the movie. First, I was given passes to the press screening last week and was CRAZY DELERIOUS with joy over this... until I realized it was on the same evening as my last night of parent-teacher interviews. BAH. Bah, I tell you! It was the last two ( Read more... )

I might go to Harry Potter on Sunday after rehearsal, if I'm not dead from exhaustion by then!

Whatever! You just don't want to go see Young Men bands with me. (Hahah! I just noticed that! I don't know about In-Flight Safety, but the others are Young Men bands (with the exception of the girl in TMSR, close enough!) Tab style!)

AHAHAHAHA! In-Flight Safety is totally a Young Man band! Look! They look like frat boys! Old Tab is probably salivating at the thought.

Oh! That is an *awesome* flatiron. My hairdresser uses one, and I COVET IT GREATLY everytime she uses it.

Also, Harry Potter = awesome. All those haters can just suck it. *nods*

You know I think Rent is totally overrated and full of maudlin, narcissistic hobos, but even if I didn't think those things, ROSARIO DAWSON, who inexplicably has a film career despite being not all that attractive and not particularly burdened with talent or charisma, is in the movie. Boo hiss.

Also, *bloody thumbs up* to FLATIRON. :D

Rent is really, really fabulous. I saw it today and absolutely loved it. Granted, I haven't seen the play live but my friend who I went with had and she said it was very accurate. The singing was AMAZING, and I totally cried like at a baby during the.. well you-know-what scene. *SNIFFLES* Anyway, I hope you get a chance to see it soon because it is WELL WORTH IT.

It is also amusing because I was informed by the person wripping tickets that every single person who went to see it today was like totally giddy and jumping up and down. LOL! We were in a theatre full of theatre kids and RENT heads and so it aws fabulous. Thankfully no one sang really obnoxiously but we were all mouthing the words ;) In conclusion: I fully recommend it even to people who don't know the story. :D

Did anyone in the theatre moo during the Maureen "Over the Moon" scene? (I dunno, I always hated that song/scene. Then again, Maureen is, uh, not exactly my favourite character.)

AHA! Sadly not, but the roudy people in the back row may have. It was really loud, so I didn't hear any extraneous moos from where I was sitting... yah I didn't really like her character, but she had a fabulous voice. The scene was pretty funny ;) Just wait till they show the TVs behind her, SO HILARIOUS!
