FAQ

After getting so many friends in only a couple of weeks and because I figured it would be much better to archive all the information and question concerning the graphics and overrides I post in this journal, I decided to finally post a FAQ section. Aditional on this post, easy copy/paste codes to promote this journal.

Hi! I edited the colours in your green layout but I'm wondering if I did something wrong because in the reply to comment page, the original comment doesn't appear unless I highlighted it. Otherwise it's blank - like this. Thanks!

Oh, never mind, it seems to appear now.

I was going to tell you that it's a problem in livejournal's database. It used to happen to me, too back when I had comment pages set on my personal journal. But it has nothing to do with the stylesheet as you already know ^.^ good that you figured it out by yourself :]

Oh, I see. I think it takes a while before it shows up. Good to know, thanks! :D

i have been using "S2 Flexible Squares; Blue // Green Romantic" as my layout for sometime and i just love it. But sometimes on my laptop when i post my enetries with an icon table, it leaves a massive blank spot and then only starts way down at the bottom (it dosent do this on my normal computer).

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank-you.

Do you use the same browser in both computers? I actually don't know why you have that problem and it's even more strange that you have it when you check your journal on one computer and in the other works perfectly. I'm sorry but since I don't have any furter information and I'm not really sure of the problem you're having with this layout is CSS related I don't think I can help you. Sorry again.

I took a look a your journal and the header image showed perfectly, though it's misplaced, yes and the image it's not the same size at the layout so that's the problem cause the image loads normally. You may want to take a look at your header image code and follow the guidelines I explain in this post on how to add a header image. If you're stil having problems with it, don't hesitate on ask again.

I have a problem with my new community. I took your layout S2 Flexible Squares // Grey & Pink. The problem is that I want the background (of where my userpic is placed) to be white, but it looks kinda blue. And I have no idea how to change that, although I tried to change a few things in the CSS, but nothing worked. I'd be really greatful, if you could help me.
Here's the link for the community:

Also, I'm sorry that there's no credit til now, but that's because I didn't edit my userinfo til now. Be sure, I'm gonna do that today...

ha, I already solved the problem, but I dunno how...I just changed all the colors in the Custom options > color section, so I don't exactly know which color I only had to change.
Anyway, I'm going to change layout once again, but I still have your layout on my normal journal and on another community of mine, because I love it. And credit is, of course, in the userinfo=)

Sorry I couldn't reply earlier, I was at work. Anyway, to solve the userpic background problem in a community (just for future references) locate the .userpicfriends and in the bkackground color section write the hex code for white (#ffffff) or transparent, remarking that it's important to stay white or transparent, like this:

background-color: #ffffff!important;

About the other CSS things you tried, I can't help you solve it since you weren't more specific, if you have any other question, shoot ;)

Hi, I'm using the blue layout and have added a header to it. I was wondering how you'd space the header image from the rest of the journal?

in the .headerimage code, you can add a number in pixels in the margin-bottom (that now should say 0!important;) I suggest 20px and dont forget to delete the !important.
