When I was a kid my dad always promised me that when I was old enough to drive we'd go out and restore the 1951 Chevy pickup behind our garage, and it would be my first car. Then my dad traded my ol' Chev for $300 worth of plumbing work when he remodeled our house. He could've easily afforded the plumbing work, he just... well I guess you'd

They never did really explain why those idiot kids were driving that sweet old car, did they? I hate it when stupid people have cool cars.

Also; I'm too poor for fun right now, but weren't we supposed to kick it at some point?

Just telling you that I added you for your photography plus you're a Nikon user as well :D
I don't really keep my journal up to date really so sorry about that one. More than welcomed to add my flickr account or something if you want. I comment a fair bit of other people's journals anyway.
I wasn't allowed to say that in BH, since it's considered a bannable offence. P.S. Do you still have some of your gear for sale...?

Unfortunately I already managed to sell off the gear, but I'll let you know if anything else comes up. I'm going to be moving soon and I'd really like to get rid of some more stuff.

when you gave me that phonograph i had forrrever been meaning to make you a "thank you" film. i failed, seeing as how the money to buy a video camera never managed to cross my fingers.
i participated in the local 48 hour film festival thingy this year, and i made sure that victrola was featured prominently in one scene.
so, um, i hope you like it. we were randomly given the genre "buddy film," and with the locations i had rustled up, it ended up being a semi-comedic, post-apocalyptic buddy film.
keep a look out for that victrola in the first scene. and i do a cameo with the now ex-boyfriend as a bible thumpin' old lady.
enjoy, and again, thank you for the amazing phonograph:

I was also happy to see that they gave you the good one. Good meaning "more aged looking". When I placed the order the lady told me that all they had left were the really shiny ones (the ones made to look like they would have when they were new... they just look cheap to me). I begged her to look for one of the aged looking ones in their stock and apparently she found one, so hooray!
I enjoyed the film immensely. It was kind of a reminder that I should probably also be participating in film festival thingies and... you know... life in general.
