today ami_isis, nandithebull & myself kicked it down to the yuba for some campy campingness. and let me tell you (up to a certain point) it was.
we were totally having a good time spending our evening at the river, our tent was all set up (really nice spot too) soup was on, and we were all totally goofing off having a great time as the evening progressed into nightfall. finding our 3 heroes in their tent cozied up to a nice game of rummy, things could not have been finer. but then it happened.....the blood curdling scream.
at first we werent sure of what we had heard, but then it came again, the chilling scream of a woman " get the fuck out!!!!" some more friends who heard the screams were with us, and we called out to the woman to see if she needed help, another scream. do you need help? a muffled reply.
by this time we are all pretty freaked - is some girl getting raped just within earshot, way out in the woods where there's no phone reception, in the dark.
we all walked around calling out for her, searching, but found nothing. it was some freaky shit. we ended up packing up all our stuff & leaving in the middle of the night - who'd stay out in the middle of nowhere with some psycho lurking around in the dark?
we drove to lyon's & hung out till closing, called the sheriffs department too while we were there & filed a report.
so, aside from the freaky scary stuff, i had a really great day today:)!
