When my husband and I got married, we had the wedding in an Episcopal church (where I sang in the choir as a kid) - a truly beautiful building. As a church musician, I put together the entire ceremony. Nobody but a few SCAdians noticed that the hymns and readings never mentioned the word "god" but were all about nature and, well, sex.

Even the gospel reading was the one where Mary Magdalene is massaging Jesus' feet with oil - an incredibly sensual scene. The minister even used that as his 'sermon', which was unusual to say the least! And the Song of Solomon reading I pulled out was so graphic that my hip sister was embarassed to read it out loud.

Score!

I *so* don't want to think about cake-maker's-hell. I have a hard enough time with just basic cakes. LOL It sounds like things went swimmingly and that's fantastic to hear. I was curious how things would turn out with that cake when you mentioned it on the phone. :)
