I know exactly what you mean. I think this is partially a product of everyone getting older and "more mature." There is something about that "kitten" type behavior that people seem to frown upon when they get into their mid and late twenties. In college anything goes, after that we start becoming really conscious of having a fixed identity and for some reason that seems to correspond to isolating ourselves, as though the fact that we have become more concretely defined also means that we are more contained

i love you. you always have such great things to say, and no matter how long it's been since we've talked, you're one of the few that i always feel like i have the same connection still. i never feel guilty that i haven't kept in touch with you, because we always seem to catch each other when we need it. i would love it if it were easier to stay in touch with you, but life does tend to get in the way. *big hugs* and thanks. let me know if there's any chance you can work something out for some time next week. i could use an old friend's company. :-)
i'm in pittsburgh. it's probly about 5 hours or maybe 6 by bus. train might be worth looking at too. i would totally flip if you could come visit. it would be uber awesome. :-)
