Nothing like it

At the end of an 18 hour travel day, the last thing that you want to find out is that you've lost your drivers license somewhere between the Las Vegas, Chicago and Tampa airports. Oh, and my bag didn't make it and won't be in until sometime this evening.

Apparently one can get on aircraft without ID. I guess I'll find out on Friday.

I don't know of any way to get a replacement ID when not in the state where it was issued. A United employee told me that they can't deny boarding for no id. We'll see.

Alas, my passport was lost a few years ago in a Portland area parking lot.

One can? I didn't realize that.

Hope it turns up - I hadn't realized you had so many connections. Was there some other reason, or was it just the quirks of the airline's routing?

One of my co-workers recently lost her license when on a business trip to Atl.
They may you go through the ultra-high security screening, but aside from taking more time - as long as you are on the up-and-up security wise - they really dont care who you are.
If you don't have an actual ticket on the other hand - you would need a credit card or something to collect your e-ticket. Not sure how you would get the ticket in the first place if you have no identification at all.

We'll see if the Mrs can get your license reprinted and fed-x it to ya.

You just concentrate on getting better.
