I will leave Danny's journal online for the purposes of anyone wanting to go back and read archives. Consider this a last post, however.

I will continue to update my journal, soozq74 and possibly Sammie's, munchikins, so long as I can figure out the password.

An interesting day today. Busy - I really should go into the details but It's really time for bed. It will probabky be late tomorrow before I can post the details of the trip to Charleston, SC.

I would like to say that it was very nice to see old friends (or is it supposed to be "friends who are old")

I thought everyone would like to know that my pain levels are substantially better today. Last night I took 60mg instead of 40 and it seems to be about right. I'm still having trouble sleeping but next time I'll take 2 pills instead 1 and see if that clears it uo.

I think that I'm going to try to go on work disability starting todayish. Two weeks ago I started taking Oxycontin - round the clock pain meds instead of the as needed meds I'd been taking. Well, as of late last week the combination of Oxycontin and Oxycodone just aren't doing it anymore. I'm hopefully going to get the doses upped today but I ( Read more... )

I guessed it was coming at least. We didn't get a complete report today but the initial look showed new lesions (mets) in the liver and at least one growing. The new mets are enough to kick me out of the trial ( Read more... )

I'm here in Tampa for what might be my last week. Treatment is pretty boring. My counts are more or less stable. In way this is good news - I have a liver enzyme that is elevated because 60% of my liver is gone. It's not been rising. I don't know if that really means anything ( Read more... )

Thank god the pain didn't continue at the level it had been. Today it's back to the rather uncomfortable aches - I'm still medicated part of the time but it's nowhere near as bad ( Read more... )

The bad news for the week is that I've come to conclusion that my treatment isn't working. My pain has really ramped up over the last week. It's in a couple of places but really bad around my liver area. I'm about 99% sure the drugs aren't working. Damned depressing.
