I got my pre-trial CT done today. Technically, its to evaluate wether Ifosfamide is working and if not to serve as the baseline for the trial. I had thought it would be pretty unlikely to be able to tell anything from the CT because it's only been 1 cycle and it normally takes several for results to show up. I'm on raw food and crowd restrictions for the next couple of days. My white blood cell / ANC numbers are terrible. It should just be a few days until they recover and right now I'm not sick, so here's hoping.

I think it was IFEX (Ifosfamide). It's been nearly 3 days since my last dose and I still don't feel close to 100%. It's not that I feel that bad physicaly - just tired. Doing well. No serious side effects yet except fatique. I feel like I've become unstuck in time. It's hard to type and I don't really know what time/day it is. I feel like I haven't slept in forever but am otherwise feeling pretty good.

I just finished up getting my third bag of Ifosfamine with nothing like side effectect. Definitely good news ( Read more... )

I've been here almost 6 hours now and I still haven't start the business drugs. I guess that means I'll be in here until Saturday morning. Bleck, bleck, bleck.

Right now there's an impressively colored blue substance going into my system. Strange. I hope my biggest side effect will be boredom.

It looks like I'll start my second year as a cancer patient getting yet more chemo. Because of uncertainties about trial start dates and because Moffitt also rejected me for surgery, I'll be starting high dose ifosomide either Monday or Tuesday.
